God’s leading and calling us to adoption has been a long and very prayerful decision.  We have been trying to have a baby for several years.  Unfortunately, we have had some difficulty with that and have lost two babies.  After many tests, surgeries and prayer, we decided to pursue adoption.  In prayer, the Lord had put on our hearts adoption again after we experienced a failed adoption in 2008.  In His encouragement to us He made this statement…often times we as Christians abandon the plan of adoption that God has for us, but He didn’t want Mark and I to abandon this plan completely because of the failed adoption, but He has a child for our family. WHOA! We were totally taken back, excited with joy and tears. It was then that He began to teach us about our experience and how that relates to us as His adopted children.  All the while He wanted to teach us through this difficult circumstance, but we weren’t ready.  God has a plan of salvation for all of us.  His plan doesn’t just stop there, but is so great and vast. However, there are so many that abandon His plan in exchange for their own.  Even though this child wasn’t placed for adoption with us and it was a heartbreaking experience, we can now see it from God’s perspective.  How much does His heart break when we do our own thing, live our own way and abandon His plan and not even consider what He wants for our lives?  The whole adoption process is such a training ground for us in understanding our adopted position with our heavenly Father, which in turn will make us better parents to the child the Lord has for the completion of our family!  In addition, we understand God’s timing for our lives and know as adoptive parents we are smack in the middle of His perfect plan. 

We have discovered the avenue of adoption that gives hope, love and healing to both ourselves and to another who would otherwise not have any hope.  Adoption is a beautiful miracle that we have experienced through the stories of family and friends.  God has many ways to build a family, and we are waiting with expectation to watch Him unfold this plan in our lives.  It is an inspiration to see the available resources that are available to assist in the adoption process, and believe what it says in Mark 9:23b “all things are possible to him that believeth.” (ASV)

We believe this is the door that the Lord wants us to walk through and know that He will provide the finances.  If you feel led to help with this financially, we would be so appreciative.  Our heart’s desire is to have a child and though we thought it would come biologically; apparently the Lord has different plans for us.  As our family is created, we are so thankful to the Lord and so thankful to you for helping us in our endeavor. Ephesians 1:4-6 “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” (KJV)
